UL-94 Standard FR Foam

UL-94 Standard FR Foam

Product Code: FV-Fire Retardants UL

We offer Fire Retardant foam passing UL-94 standards (the Standard for Safety of Flammability of Plastic Materials for Parts in Devices and Appliances testing released by Underwriters Laboratories of the United States). The standard determines the materials tendency to either extinguish or spread the flame once the specimen has been ignited.  These foams are considered best in the Automotive, HVAC (Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) sectors and wide range in Acoustic applications.

We process these foams with Polyester & Polyether Polyurethane base to meet specific industrial & technical applications. Flame Retardant foams are processed by adding flame retardant additives during the time of foaming to meet various fire code standards. These special additives help foam to slow down fire & also get itself extinguished at the time of the fire.

Offered Options: We also supply these foam with oil dispersing, heat reflecting, foil and film, self-adhesive backing and aluminum sheet inter-layers where required.

Triss Free FR Foam

Triss Free FR Foam

Product Code: FV-Fire Retardants-TF

Most of the Flexible Fire Retardant foams are processed using common chemical Tris (1,3-dichloro-2-propyl) phosphate. In 1970 it was discovered by the U.S that using Tris (1,3-dichloro-2-propyl) phosphate in product manufactured for human use (especially children) can cause severe problems like  potential health menaces, associated with cancers, memory loss, lower I.Q.s, and impaired motor skills in children, to name a few woes, therefore, a guideline was introduced especially for the product used by children should be without any Tris content in the foam.

Keeping above in mind we process Tris’s free foam with Fire retardant properties to meet specific customer and country law requirements.

FMVSS-302 Standard FR Foam

FMVSS-302 Standard FR Foam

Product Code: FV-Fire Retardants-FMVSS

We offer Fire Retardant foam passing FMVSS 302 (Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 302) test mandatory for materials used in the occupant compartments of motor vehicles (i.e. passenger cars, multipurpose passenger vehicles, trucks, and buses). These foams are processed to reduce the deaths and injuries to motor vehicle occupants caused by vehicle fires, especially those originating in the interior of a vehicle from sources such as matches or cigarettes.

CA-117 Standard FR Foam

CA-117 Standard FR Foam

Product Code: FV-Fire Retardants-CA

We offer Fire Retardant foam passing CA-117 standards mandatory for foam usage in few countries and as per specific customer and end application requirement.

CA-117 FR test or cigarette test is a common test in the upholstery industry. In the test, each upholstery component except the covering fabric is time exposed to a smoldering cigarette in a defined test chamber, and the cigarette char length is measured to specific criteria which justify whether particular component passes CA-117 FR test results or not.

BS 5852 Standard FR Foam

BS 5852 Standard FR Foam

Product Code: FV-Fire Retardants-BS

We offer Fire Retardant foam passing BS5852 standards (British standard for assessing the ignitability of single material combinations, e.g. covers and fillings used in upholstered seating, or complete items of seating, when subjected either to a smoldering cigarette or to flaming ignition sources of thermal output ranging from that of a burning match to that approximating to the burning of four double sheets of full-size newspaper, as might be applied accidentally to any item of furniture.
